Our content for this application is now consolidated on one page: Inverter and Energy Storage PCBA - BMS, solar inverter and power conversion boards.
Solar and hybrid inverter control boards, battery management systems, DC-DC converters, power modules and charging modules are covered there, including heavy-copper layout, thermal via design, selective soldering and lead-free wave soldering.
If you came here from a bookmark, please update it. For a quotation on an inverter, BMS or power conversion board, send the Gerber, BOM and pick-and-place files through the contact page.
Can you assemble power boards that mix SMT and heavy through-hole parts?
Yes. Inverter and storage boards combine fine-pitch SMT logic with larger through-hole power devices, so they run through the same factory - our high-speed SMT lines and our DIP lines with lead-free wave soldering - and are functionally tested before packing.
Do you build battery management and protection boards?
Yes. BMS control, balancing and protection boards are part of the energy storage assemblies we build. They go through AOI and functional test on fixtures matched to your battery configuration.
How do you handle heavy copper and high current?
Heavy copper inner layers, thermal via arrays, and where the customer stack-up calls for it, thick-copper or metal-core constructions. The fabrication route and the assembly profile for a high-copper, high-thermal-mass board are confirmed at DFM stage rather than at the line, because both the drilling and the reflow window differ from a standard board.
What about thermal management and long-term reliability?
Power boards usually fail on thermal cycling rather than on a single overstress event. That places the focus on thermal via design under the power devices, copper spreading area, the choice of surface finish, and the reflow profile developed for the mass of the assembly. Conformal coating is available where the enclosure sees humidity or contamination.
