Smart home device PCBA with wireless modules for connected products

Smart Home PCBA Manufacturing

Assembled boards for connected lighting, thermostats, locks, appliances and sensors, with wireless module and low-power design support.

This page has moved

Our content for this application is now consolidated on one page: Consumer Electronics PCBA - high-mix assembly in Shenzhen.

Smart home control boards, sensor nodes, gateways, thermostats, locks and connected appliance electronics are covered there, with the wireless module placement, mixed-technology SMT and DIP work and functional test they need.

If you came here from a bookmark, please update it. For a quotation on a smart home or connected-device board, send the Gerber, BOM and pick-and-place files through the contact page.

Can you assemble boards that carry a wireless module?

Yes. A smart home product normally pairs a control board with a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee or Thread module, and we place and solder those modules as part of the same turnkey build, then run functional test on the finished assembly before packing.

What about safety isolation on mains-powered devices?

Products that connect to mains have a safety isolation requirement between the user side and the mains side. That is a design decision, so it is reviewed at DFM stage: creepage and clearance against the voltage class, isolation barrier routing, and the placement of the sensing and control circuits relative to the barrier. Assembly follows the acceptance class agreed at quotation.

How do you handle wireless performance on a mixed board?

Wireless performance is decided by layout, so it is raised at DFM review: keep-out and ground plane continuity under the antenna, separation between the radio and any switching supply, and the placement of the module relative to the enclosure opening. Where a pre-certified module is used, we follow the module manufacturer layout guidance rather than substituting equivalent routing.

Can you support certification documentation?

The product certification is the brand owner submission, but much of the evidence originates on the production floor. We hold build records, material declarations and process data that a certification programme will ask to see, and can issue them in support of a customer submission.
